How to play Bubble Shooter

Start Bubble Shooter by looking at the playing area and its controls. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Check the rule that explains your first action. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Review a difficult moment

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Controls

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Notice the change in the playing area.

Watch out for this

Contact with a different colour is not a match. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
