How to play Pinball

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Pinball. Reach 1,500 points before three balls drain. Use the example below to understand a decision. Read the objective before making your first input. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Original compact two-flipper table with three bumpers.

Try a deliberate move

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Reach 1,500 points before three balls drain. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. The example below illustrates a decision.

Step by step

  1. Start to launch.
  2. Use the two flippers.
  3. Bumper collisions score.
  4. Launch remaining balls after a drain.

Controls

Hold Left/Right flipper or arrow keys. Start / pause and New round are available. Use the control method described here for this activity. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

Activate the flipper when the ball reaches its active surface. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Take a moment to compare.

Watch out for this

A drained ball cannot be rescued. Check the rule before repeating the action. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
