How to play Sequence Memory

Start Sequence Memory by looking at the playing area and its controls. Repeat every shown position in order. A wrong position ends the current session. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Notice the feedback

Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention. Keep the objective visible.

Your goal

Repeat every shown position in order. A wrong position ends the current session. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.

Step by step

  1. Choose Start again to begin.
  2. Watch each highlighted pad without clicking.
  3. When the game says Your turn, tap the pads in the same order.
  4. A correct sequence leads to a longer round.

Controls

Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. Read a button’s label before selecting it. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

For a sequence 2, 7, 2, tap pad 2, then 7, then 2 again. Repeated positions still count. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Take a moment to compare.

Watch out for this

The task is to remember order, not just which pads appeared. Compare the situation with the worked example. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
